For 25 Years Irish Stew has been a semi professional band.

The band members used to play with bands like: Drijfhout, Cotton Green, Caa a Dram, Kalis and de Tientooners. The contribution of these experienced players fortifies the old, famous “Whiskey" sound of the group from Leeuwarden ,

In Irish Stew's repertoire old Irish ballads and pub songs are combined with sea songs, shanty's and Dutch/Frisian sailor songs.
They have been the support act for the Dubliners, Jim McCann, ELO, de Kast, etc.
They have also done a lot of radio and TV programs at home as well as abroad.

Their performances take 3 x 40 minutes within three hours.

Irish Stew is available anywhere and any time; acoustic or augmented; in your living room, pub, theatre, tent as well as on cruise boats, market places or Stadiums.
